Reflection 06

Today, we had the more enjoyable lesson of the week. Youtube all the way together with laughters filling the classroom. 

We are to identify the advantages and the disadvantage sf youtube. After which we had a short presentation on what we have identified. 

We were asked if we are able to live without youtube. Well, i'm neutral about it. Youtube entertains me and give me information. So, it's very hard to claim if it would be a life threatener to me. 

But overall, i like today's lesson (:

My dream tour

My dream is to travel to all the countries in Europe. Especially France and Italy.

The living condition and the environment is so calm. Their fashion sense are so chic and the surrounding embrace romantic ambience. And the landscape and building are so distinctive and long-established where i can go for a photo taking tour. Most of all, the food! I enjoy european food a lot. Eiffel tower in Paris and Tower of pisa in Italy make a very very attractive place for me to visit. 

   

Reflections 05

To me, information available on the invisible website are more restricted. It's not as convenient as using search engines, meta-search or the subject directories. Information found using invisible website are mainly on databases, articles or books. Whilst information found using search engines, meta-search and subject directiories are more comprehensive.

Being a student who is predominantly in contact with wide range of film productions, movies and screenplay, databases might not be the thing we need. Perhaps on articles and books, it might be more useful then.

Reflection 04

There was no class today. However we are suppose to do Practical 3&4 on our own. It was quite interesting as i found that there are many other search engine available. 

Overall, practical was efficient for my learning.

Reflection 03

Today's lesson is on internet searching tools. It's kind of confusing as there are so many different kind of search engines. 

We need to identify the right format and keywords to key in the search engine to get the correct results.

With (*) we get to find the keywords with the same meaning. For example, legalize = make legal, decriminalize, legitimize, permit, allow and etc.

For advance  search feature, it picks out keywords that are highlighted and fill in the blanks itself. it is also able to key the unwanted words for other functions. 

We will get a minium result with any one keyword used. 

Reflection 01 and 02

Today , we learn about forum, wiki, news and blog. Lesson went through quite smoothly and everything we need to learn is being taught carefully.

News which contain real life stories and latest report on issues and cases.

Forums can be a place for people to discuss and comment on their different point of views. Whereas wikipedia provide users with information easily created and edited by users who hold relevant information. 

And blog a place which allow user to point their personal issues.

500 bucks

I'll buy myself a short holiday trip perhaps? There's too much to name what exactly i want to buy with 500 dollars. A getaway will be great (:
